Helpful Details
- The page URL where the issue occurred
- Browser and device type
- Screenshot or steps to reproduce the issue
- For IoT build inquiries: sensor, board, power, and installation environment
How inquiries are reviewed
Useful inquiries include reproducible details. A short “it does not work” report leaves too much room for guessing, while the board model, power source, attached sensor, page URL, serial log, or screenshot can quickly separate code, power, and network problems.
For IoT build requests, requirements come before parts. Please describe what should be measured or controlled, where the device will be installed, how power and Wi-Fi are available, who receives alerts, and how long data should be stored. The custom IoT build page and the power and noise checklist are useful starting points.
Requests outside the scope
IOTHub does not handle requests for unauthorized access, account takeover, bypassing authentication, malware, or anything intended to harm another system. The intended scope is personal builds, learning, lawful device setups, site issue reports, and content improvement suggestions.
Requests that are mainly promotional or link-placement oriented are also outside the purpose of the site. IOTHub exists to document ESP-based IoT build material and practical troubleshooting learned from real device work.
